Kensington
Overview
Kensington is home to some of the best museums and treasured buildings in the world. With The Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace, The Natural History Museum and the Science Museum all on your doorstep, you will never be far from a culture trip. Gaining its Royal title in 1901 after Queen Victoria's death, it truly is a quintessentially British location to live. Being one of the most affluent areas in London, you can stroll its picture-perfect streets, browse its upscale shops and dine in its trendy restaurants any day of the week. Well known for its stucco-fronted homes, Kensington also boasts a splendour of terraces, garden squares, crescents and mews which add to the grand aesthetics of the area.

Day in the life
Whether you are an individual, couple or family, Kensington has something for everyone. You can take a stroll through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park or head west on the High Street towards the entrance to Holland Park and discover the beautiful Japanese Kyoto Gardens. If you have children, why not take them to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground for the morning. Once you have worked up an appetite, head back to the High Street where you can find an array of restaurants to choose from. Whether you want a casual, quick bite at somewhere like Joe and The Juice or have a more relaxed, sit-down meal at The Ivy, there is a place to suit everyone. If a little retail therapy is in order, you can peruse the many shops along the High Street. From fashion favourites like, Zara, Uniqlo and H&M, to the high-end stores like Massimo Dutti, Jigsaw and Hobbs. If you're looking to add some new additions to the house, Zara Home, Oliver Bonas and Jimmie Martin (if you like more bold statements) are sure to supply you with what you need to make your house a home. As the evening approaches, you can pop into Wholefoods supermarket to pick up some fresh, organic produce for your dinner (disclaimer: each item is aesthetically placed to make you want to buy everything in the store, do NOT shop when hungry... you have been warned!) If it is date night, you can book a table at the trendy Latin American restaurant Zuaya and enjoy an indulgent evening before heading home to your cosy new nest.
